The Jim Wroton Men's Prayer Breakfast and the Wesley Youth are sponsoring a community food drive called the Momentum Box Project.  This is an exciting opportunity for Wesley UMC to serve people in need in Glynn County.  We have prepared a list of food items and other necessities that will be packed in boxes and distributed through Second Harvest and Faith Works.

Each box is designed to support a family of 4 with food for at least 3-4 days.  The list has been carefully crafted to provide basic yet nutritious food which can be supplemented with minimal perishable items (e.g. milk, bread, cheese).  The cost of items for one box is approximately $50.

We are asking everyone to prayerfully consider either purchasing the items to fill one box (or more!) or making a donation to be used to purchase these items.  If you choose to purchase items, we will provide the box or boxes (please take only boxes you will use) and ask that you stick to the size and quantities in the list.

If you prefer to donate you may make your check payable to Wesley UMC, Momentum Box Project. Our Youth will help with the purchases from donations and the packaging of the boxes. You can also using the following Donate button to make an online donation!

It is our hope this will be a project that can be enlarged with the participation of other churches and provide a steady source of much needed assistance within our community.
